So you’ve got your hands on a Wix Studio template. Maybe it’s for your bakery, tiffin service, craft shop, or spice business. The design looks great, but now you’re wondering: how do I make it mine and actually get it live?

At Dreambus, we design websites that help small businesses sell with confidence without needing to figure out complicated tech. We’ve built this guide so you can take any Wix Studio template, customise it for your brand, and launch it quickly.

This step-by-step walkthrough is written for beginners. You don’t need to code or design. It’s just a short checklist to follow.

Before You Start

We’re assuming you’ve already added the template to your Wix Studio account and have it open in the editor. If not, go back to your download file and follow the instructions to bring it into your account first.

Step 1: Customise Your Wix Studio Template Branding

The first thing to do is make the template look like your business.

  • Logo: Click on the sample logo → Change Image → upload your own.

  • Global Theme Colors & Fonts: In Wix Studio, open the Site Styles panel on the left. Update your Colors and Text styles here. These changes apply across your whole site automatically.

  • Images: Swap out the sample photos for your real product pictures. Use clear, well-lit shots. Trust me, they do more to sell your products than any text.

To change an image click on the image, select Change Image, and upload your own picture.

Step 2: Edit Content in Your Wix Studio Template

Every template comes with placeholder sections. Your job is to replace those with content that fits your business. Common sections you might see include:

  • Hero Section: Usually the first block visitors see. Replace the headline, tagline, and main image with something that quickly explains what you offer.

  • Products or Services (if included): Some templates use a grid or list layout. Use it to display your products, services, or even key offerings. If it doesn’t apply to your business right now, you can hide this section.

  • About Section: Share a short story about your business — who you are, what you do, and why it matters.

  • Testimonials (if included): Add real customer feedback. If you don’t have any yet, simply hide the section until you do.

  • Contact Section: Most templates come with a built-in form. Update your email and phone number so anyone who wants to reach you can. If your location matters (like a pickup spot or store), add that too.

Tip: To remove a section you don’t need right now, click on it in the editor. You’ll see options to either Hide or Delete.

  • Hide keeps the section in your editor but removes it from the live site (you can bring it back later).

  • Delete removes it completely. If you’re not sure, hiding is safer.

Step 3: Update Buttons and Links in Wix Studio Template

Your template comes with sample buttons and you’ll need to connect them to your own details. Here’s how:

  • WhatsApp Order Button:

    • Click on the Order on WhatsApp button (if included)

    • In the settings panel, go to Link.

    • Replace the sample number with your own, using this format:https://wa.me/91XXXXXXXXXX

    • Test it on your phone — it should open a chat with you on WhatsApp.

  • Location Button (if included):

    • Click the button → go to Link.

    • Paste in your Google Maps link for your pickup point or store.

  • Social Media Icons:

    • Select each icon (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).

    • In the settings panel, paste in your social media profile links.

Tip: After editing, always click Preview and test each button to make sure it opens the right place.

Step 4: Publish and Share Your Wix Studio Website

Once your site looks right, it’s time to make it live.

Option A: Free Wix Domain

  • In Wix Studio, click Publish (top-right).

  • Wix will give you a free link like yourname.wixstudio.com/yourbrand.

  • Share this link in your Instagram bio, WhatsApp status, and Facebook page.

Option B: Custom Domain

  • In your Wix dashboard, go to Domains.

  • Buy a domain (like www.yourbrand.com) or connect one you already own.

  • Wix will guide you through the connection process.

  • Publish again and now your site is live on your custom domain.

Final Checklist Before Sharing Your Wix Studio Template

Before announcing your site, run through this quick list:

  • ✅ Test the WhatsApp button with your number

  • ✅ Test your Google Pay / UPI link

  • ✅ Test your Google Maps link

  • ✅ Open the site on your phone (most customers will view it on mobile)

  • ✅ Share your live link in all the places your customers find you

Pro Tips for Using Your Wix Studio Template

Your template has been designed and tested to look good on all devices — desktop, tablet, and mobile. To keep it that way:

  • Stick to text lengths similar to what’s already shown in the template (especially in headlines and product names).

  • If you add much longer text, layouts may shift. Keeping your copy concise will ensure everything stays aligned and clean.

  • Use clear, high-quality photos that match the image sizes already in the template.

Follow this, and your site will look professional and consistent across every platform.
